Talbot library was threatened with closure in 2004 until the
community got together to save it. With the help of volunteers,
the library remained in its original building on Market Square
for borrowing books, holding interesting talks, encouraging the
arts and for education.
Details of opening hours and membership... coming soon
In 2009 the re-opened library celebrated its 5th
birthday with a BBQ and talk by local resident and author, Bill Green.
Unfortunately a few days afterwards a storm severely damaged
and walls of the building. While the building is being
repaired, the library is housed temporarily in the old bank
opposite market square on Scandinavian Crescent.
